Trail Work Events And Dates

Trailwork Dates & Community Events

Volunteers are the key to our organizational success. Working alongside trained crew leaders, volunteers will experience a sense of fulfillment as they participate in trail building and maintenance, while becoming stewards of our area lands. Volunteers have helped make Durango Trails the productive and successful organization it is today.

Thank you, volunteers!

Current trailwork dates and details are listed below. Due to the unpredictable San Juan Mountains weather, the details below are tentative. You will receive an email and/or text 2-3 days prior to each trailwork event with specific details.

Please note, registration is required to join us for trailwork.

What to wear and bring

Volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes or boots, long pants, long-sleeved shirt, sunhat, sunscreen, sunglasses and bring a water bottle and a rain jacket (optional).

Please leave your dogs at home.

Durango Trails will provide all tools, instruction and safety talk, extra water and snacks for all volunteers. We do live in beautiful, unpredictable Colorado, so please check the weather before your workday and plan to dress accordingly. If there is significant weather or any impacts the day of our scheduled trailwork, Durango Trails will notify you ASAP via email and/or text.
