Part of High Country trails.

White Creek Trail is a difficult and scenic high country trail near Cunningham Gulch and Highland Mary Lakes trails. This trail has abundant wildflowers in July and August and water is abundant. This trail can be accessed from Highland Mary Lakes Trail and passes by Verde Lake and Lost Lake. White Creek Trail is approximately 8.7 miles in length and gains 1,950 feet.

dIRECTIONS TO TRAILHEAD

Cunningham Gulch / Highland Mary Lakes Parking Area

From 9th Street and Main Avenue in Durango, head west on 9th Street toward Camino Del Rio (Highway 550). Turn right onto Camino Del Rio (HWY 550) and continue north on Hwy 550 past Purgatory Resort toward Silverton. Continue through Silverton to CR 2 and follow to CR 4. The Cunningham Gulch road starts in Howardsville. Turn east on County Road 4 and follow the signs to the Old Hundred Mine tour by bearing left on County Road 4-A at its junction with County Road 4.
