Part of the Overend Mountain Park trails system.

Falcon Trail is a moderate 1-mile loop in Overend Mountain Park that follows the drainage towards Leyden Street and up to meet Brown’s Ridge and Ella Vita trail. Falcon Trail can be accessed from Falcon Way, near Ella Vita Court and from Avenida Del Sol.

To Falcon Way: From 9th Street and Main Avenue in Durango, head west on 9th Street toward Camino Del Rio. Cross the river over Camino Del Rio on 9th Street and turn right onto Roosa Avenue. Turn left onto Avenida Del Sol and turn right to stay on Avenida Del Sol. Falcon Way is a left-hand turn, but park along Avenida Del Sol and find either end of the trail near Falcon Way or on Avenida Del Sol before you reach Forest Avenue.
