Part of the Overend Mountain Park trails system.
Spirit Trail is accessed from Ella Vita Court parking area and is a popular moderate 1.9-mile trail in the southern end of Overend Mountain Park. Spirit Trail is located behind the Greenmount Cemetery and near the Tech Center in Durango. This trail has ongoing turns and switchbacks through its easement and is challenging enough for intermediate riders and a fun and moderate skills area for skilled riders.

To Ella Vita Court: From 9th Street and Main Avenue in Durango, head west on 9th Street toward Camino Del Rio. Cross the river over Camino Del Rio on 9th Street and turn right onto Roosa Avenue. Turn left onto Avenida Del Sol and stay straight up the hill onto Ella Vita Court. Look for parking near the end of the cul-de-sac near the trailhead.
